Remember Will Latu, the massive lineman who played one year of football at Gibbs before becoming one of the top junior college recruits in the county?
Well his long, long road to Division I football has taken another turn.
Latu has signed to play at Arkansas State, the school announced over the weekend, after he failed to qualify academically at Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound tackle initially committed to West Virginia, then pledged to Auburn. He decommitted from there, in part for academic reasons, and signed with the Sooners in February over Florida State, Oregon and others.
