Standout basketball player Kadejah Saunders has transferred from Gulf to Tarpon Springs for her senior season, Spongers coach Stephanie Walden confirmed.

Saunders was an all-North Suncoast first-team selection as a junior. She averaged 16.8 points for the Bucs, who were 28-3 last season and advanced to the region final.

Tarpon Springs was 14-12 last season and finished first in Class 6A-10 as the only Pinellas team in the district. The speedy Saunders will likely fit in as a starting guard for the Spongers.
