Carly Van Auken, who starred at Osceola and later for the State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota, has signed with Kennesaw (Ga.) State.

Van Auken, a quick-footed middle infielder, batted. 350, stole seven bases and had 17 extra-base hits at State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota last season.

At Osceola, Van Auken was a St. Petersburg Times' all-Pinellas County selection all four seasons. As a sophomore, she was a first-team pick and she made the second team in her senior season. She was known for her defensive prowess, speed on the basepaths and ability to hit for a high average while with the Warriors.

Kennesaw State is a Division I school that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
