Former Ridgewood softball standout Jessica Birchmeier was named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team.

Birchmeier, a senior at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C., is an accounting major and has compiled a 3.41 GPA. Last season, she batted .282 with 30 runs scored, nine doubles, four homers and 32 RBIs.
