Durant right-hander Tyler Danish was announced today as one of four bay area standouts in the running for the 2013 Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Baseball Award.

Danish, King right-hander Brett Morales, Hernando shortstop Christian Arroyo and Cambridge Christian centerfielder Levi Gilcrease are all finalists for the top honor.

Each player was the top vote getter in their respective classification, making them Player of the Year in their class – Danish in 8A, Morales in 6A, Arroyo in 5A and Gilcrease in 2A.

The winners will be announced following a final round of balloting by coaches and media, according to a spokesman with Florida Dairy Farmers.
