Nature Coast held a signing ceremony for four of its athletes Thursday morning.

* Jamel Byrd will play football next fall at Minot State, an NAIA school in North Dakota. The 6-foot-2, 185 pounder had 13 receptions for 175 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he had 35 tackles and one interception.

* Eddie Castro signed with Chowan (N.C.) University for baseball. Castro hit .296 with 21 hits, 15 runs scored, 10 RBIs, six doubles and a home run.

* Justin Beetz also signed with Chowan to play football. Beetz had 108 tackles for the Sharks last fall.

* Bruce Frederico, the Sharks' top distance runner, signed with Embry Riddle for cross country.
