Freedom two-way standout Isaac Tanner announced via Twitter earlier this evening that he has committed to Division I Western Kentucky.

Projected as an outside linebacker at the next level, Tanner (6-foot, 209 pounds) is deemed a four-star prospect by Rivals. He reportedly had received offers from more than a half-dozen mid-major programs.

Tanner, whose team travels to Strawberry Crest for Friday's preseason classic, recorded 75 tackles, two fumble recoveries and a team-best seven sacks last season.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. Players may not sign a National Letter of Intent until February.
