Gaither junior cornerback Amani Oruwariye has received a scholarship offer from Louisville, Cowboys coach Jason Stokes confirmed Thursday.
Stokes said it's the first offer for Oruwariye.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Oruwariye had 43 tackles, three interceptions and three blocked punts for Gaither last season. Oruwariye came up particularly big in district wins over Freedom and Tampa Bay Tech, getting two interceptions in the former and 11 tackles in the latter.
Oruwariye had 31 tackles and five interceptions as a sophomore.
Louisville has offered several other recruits in the bay area in recent days, including Armwood defensive back Kyle Gibson, and offensive tackle Mason Cole and receiver Artavis Scott of East Lake.
