Gaither LB Josh Scarberry commits to Chowan

Gaither LB Josh Scarberry, who recorded 118 total tackles during the Cowboys surprise run to the Class 7A region finals, has committed to Chowan, a Division-II school in Murfreesboro, N.C., Gaither head coach Jason Stokes announced today.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Scarberry led the Cowboys (9-4) with 14 sacks and five fumble recoveries. He also caused three fumbles and was a Times' second-team All-County selection.
