While other area athletes probably had a hard time getting rest last night, former Gulf DT Leon Orr slept like a baby.
The reason?
Orr, a Rivals.com and ESPNU top-100 national recruit, already has enrolled at Florida.
“I slept real good knowing that I’m sleeping at a school I wanted to go to,” he said.
When reached this morning, Orr was headed back to Gulf for a signing day party.
“I think we’ve got the best recruiting class in the nation,” he said of the Gators.
A month ago, Orr said he was thinking about starting his career on offense. But that apparently won’t be the case. Instead, he will be a DT.
“I have a great chance of seeing playing time my freshman year,” he said.
Orr also had this prediction:
“We ain’t losing to Florida State anytime soon,” he said.
