Hernando SS Christian Arroyo will be honored by Dixie Baseball on Wednesday afternoon, Leopards coach Tim Sims said.

The youth league’s deputy commissioner, Ronnie Jackson, will present Arroyo with an award for earning MVP honors at the 18U World Baseball Championship in South Korea during the United States’ run to the gold medal.

Arroyo was a first-team all-North Suncoast selection last fall. The senior has verbally committed to play for the Florida Gators.
