Alex Johnson, a starting outside hitter for the nationally ranked Plant volleyball team, currently lists Georgetown as her favorite.
The 5-foot-11 junior also is getting interest from Columbia, Harvard and Yale, among others. But Georgetown leads largely because the Hoyas have offered her a scholarship.
Johnson was a key contributor in Plant’s three-set win Saturday over Dr. Phillips, which sends the Class 6A Panthers to their fourth straight final four.
She finished with 13 kills.
“She’s super fast and she‘s a quick jumper,” Plant coach Leanna Taylor said. “She’s a fun player to watch.”
