Georgia Southern became the fourth school to pitch an offer to Tampa Catholic CB Tyree Holder, Crusaders head coach Bob Henriquez said yesterday. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Holder was a member of the Times' all-county team and recorded 24 tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries--which both came against rival Jesuit--in 10 games for the Crusaders.
In addition to Georgia Southern, a Southern Conference program that has won more FCS (formerly Division I-AA) national championships (six) than any other school, Ball State and Toledo, both FBS schools from the MAC, and Stony Brook have offered Holder.
