Gibbs defensive back Gary Simon has a visit scheduled to Iowa State this weekend and is going to Arkansas the following weekend.
Now, he is adding a trip to Oklahoma.
The Sooners were the latest school to offer Simon according to Gladiators coach Antonio Knox. The offer came Wednesday morning.
Simon said he will take his visit to Oklahoma the last weekend in January. Before the Sooners offered, Simon was deciding among Memphis, Miami and Middle Tennessee State for his last official visit.
But Oklahoma still has not cracked the top two on his list of schools.
"I'd still say Iowa State and Arkansas are my top two choices," Simon said. "Oklahoma would probably be in the top five."
This past season, Simon played nearly every skill position on offense, as well as defensive back and kick returner. He finished the season with seven interceptions and was an all-county and all-Suncoast selection. He is being recruited in college as a defensive back.
Simon said he would like to make his decision by national signing day Feb. 1 but could wait even longer.
"I really don't know when I'm going to decide," Simon said.
