Gibbs now playing at Armwood in Friday's preseason game

Due to heavy rain this week, Gibbs was forced to switch sites and now will be playing at Armwood in Friday’s preseason game.

Armwood already is hosting Jefferson-Tampa Bay Tech. That game will be played in the first half, followed by Gibbs-Armwood in the second half.

Gladiators athletic director Javan Turner said the game had to be moved because Gibbs’ field conditions are unplayable because of the weather. Turner said he tried to have the game played at St. Petersburg or Northeast, but the conditions at those fields were just as bad.
