Academy of the Holy Names senior Selena Castillo has committed to Emory University, Holy Names athletic director Pete Young announced Friday.
Castillo was also being recruited by NYU and University of Tampa and intended to commit to Emory for several weeks, but wanted to wait until she had been officially accepted, which she was last week.
Castillo, a three-year starter and four-year letterwinner for the Jaguars, led Holy Names in scoring (13.5), assists (5.1), rebounds (5.5) and steals (4.6).
Holy Names was 17-7 this past season and 76-33 in Castillo's four varsity seasons. She also lettered in cross country, track and softball at Holy Names.
