For the fourth consecutive year, a girls basketball player from Sickles has been named an All-American by Parade magazine.
Bre Crum, following in the footsteps three-time winner and current Duke redshirt freshman Amber Henson, is on the latest list that will run in print Saturday.
Crum, the Times' all-Hillsborough County and all-Suncoast Player of the Year, averaged 20.9 points (42 percent of her team’s offense), 4.8 steals and 4.0 assists, all team highs, for Sickles (20-8), which advanced to the Class 6A region semifinals.
And Crum was third best on the team with 6.1 rebounds per game — not too bad for a 5-foot-8 guard. She has signed to play next year at North Florida.
