No. 2 seed Riverview “survived,” to use coach Lelani Gordon’s words, against No. 3 seed East Bay, winning 50-41 Thursday in the Class 7A, District 8 semifinals.

The Sharks (21-3) were paced by juniors Jaitesha Hanson and Faith Woodard, who scored 20 and 17, respectively.

Riverview will face No. 1 seed Tampa Bay Tech, which routed Hillsborough in the earlier semifinal. The Titans (22-2) split the season series with Riverview, with the games decided by a combined seven points.
