Girls soccer: Class 4A, District 7 semifinals postponed until Thursday

The Class 4A, District 7 girls soccer semifinals scheduled for today have been postponed until Thursday due to the death this morning of a Mitchell High School student.

Mitchell sophomore Cierra Mamonoff, 15, was killed around 9:40 a.m. when she tried to cross Little Road near Kish Blvd. on foot and was struck by a car. Read more about that tragedy here.

On Thursday, second-seeded Gulf will play Hudson, the No. 3 seed, at 5 p.m. Top-seeded Mitchell battles No. 4 seed Pasco at 7 p.m. Both games will be played at Mitchell.

Friday's championship game at 7 p.m. at Mitchell has been unaffected.
