Hot starts are nothing new for the Eagles.

Springstead began the 2007-08 season 14-1-3. Last season, the Eagles broke out to a 7-2-2 start. So far, Springstead is 7-1 this season after outscoring opponents a combined 29-6. The latest win was a 6-2 victory against Central on Monday night.

There's been plenty of offensive production thus far. Alyson Brady has led the Eagles with six goals and five assists. Cristina Passafaro has five goals and four assists, Cally Quinn has three goals and five assists and Tara Vasquez has five goals and one assist.

The Eagles have already defeated the other three teams in Class 5A, District 7.

Springstead has two more district games before a big one with former district rival Hudson on Dec. 21.
