Tampa Prep senior midfielder Amber Miller has committed to play collegiately at Appalachian State, Tampa Prep coach Cindy Schofield said.

Miller, a four-year varsity player, has 13 goals and 11 assists for the Terps, who advanced to next week's Class 2A region semifinals Thursday with a 1-0 win over Shorecrest. She was also a member of Tampa Prep's 2008 Class 2A state title team as a freshman.

Miller chose the Mountaineers over College of Charleston, The Citadel, Coastal Carolina and Western Carolina, Schofield said.

At Appalachian State, Miller will be reunited with former Terps goalkeeper Jordan Hatton, who is currently a freshman for the Mountaineers. Former Plant back Amy Werdine and ex-Bloomingdale back Kara Buono are also freshmen playing at Appalachian State.
