Mitchell's boys and girls golf teams have dominated local competition, both with undefeated records through Tuesday's matches.

The boys are 11-0 in nine-hole matches led by defending Sunshine Athletic Conference champion Chaz Heinz, who is averaging 37.7 strokes per match. In fact, three more players - Austin Richardson, Dylan Strout and Sterling Bash - all average less than 40 strokes per nine holes.

The girls are 9-0 after Tuesday's win against Land O'Lakes. In that match, Mustangs sisters Megan and Rebecca Van Etten both shot a low score 32. Megan Van Etten, a senior, is in the hunt for her third consecutive SAC title.

Mitchell's boys are looking to win the SAC team title outright after tying Ridgewood to be co-SAC champs in 2008. The Mustangs will have the Rams, and Wiregrass Ranch on their tail.

Mitchell's girls are in the hunt for their eight-consecutive SAC team championship.
