Lake Mary Prep shot a team score of 290 to win the Crutchfield/Hawkins tournament on Monday at the Sun ‘N Lake Golf Club in Sebring. West Orange was second at 298, and Jesuit was third with a score of 302.

The Tigers were led by Alec Murawski, who shot even-par 72. Matt Ruel shot 74, Joseph Trim 77 and Ethan White 79.

"I was hugely impressed,'' first year Jesuit coach Niko Hohman said. "We usually get good rounds from our one and two players, but our three and four guys stepped it up. We've had this kind of potential, but we really put it together today.''

Other local teams included Clearwater Central Catholic, which shot 321. Andrew Heric led the Marauders with 77. East Lake shot 322, Mitchell shot 325, Northside Christian shot 335, and Berkeley Prep shot 352. Northside’s Anthony Quintessenza shot 73.

The tournament is viewed as one of the better tuneups for postseason play. There were 40 of the top teams in the area invited to play in the 18-hole event.
