Sickles senior Jordan Davis, arguably the top pure point guard in Hillsborough County, has verbally committed to Division I Monmouth, Coach Renaldo Garcia said.
A four-year starter, Davis has led Sickles to three consecutive 20-win seasons including a 22-2 mark this year. He's currently averaging 18 points, 7.5 assists and 6.5 rebounds.
"He felt like (Monmouth's) style of play really fit his game and they've really been after him probably since about Christmas," Garcia said. "They were looking for a true point guard."
Monmouth, located in West Long Branch, N.J., competes in the Northeast Conference.
