Gulf will honor former coach Jerry Young before the April 12 game against Ridgewood.
Young spent 26 years coaching baseball for the Buccaneers and was the head coach for 20 years. He won more than 300 games for Gulf before retiring in 2009. He also coached football and girls golf during his career.
The school will honor Young at a 6:30 p.m. ceremony, and the game against rival Ridgewood will begin 30 minutes later.
Current Gulf coach Robert Miles is encouraging former players to show up to support Young. For more information, contact Miles at 727-457-7397.
