Gulf outfielder Brittney Mayhill has changed course.
The Buccaneers' standout softball player will sign a letter of intent with Santa Fe College this week. She had originally committed to USF before the offer was rescinded.
Mayhill was recommended to Santa Fe College coaches by Colena and Colesa Lazar, former Pasco players who both play for the Saints. The irony is that Pasco and Gulf were - and are - fierce rivals.
Mayhill batted .395 with 34 hits, 15 RBIs six doubles, a triple and 30 runs scored in 24 games. She helped the Bucs to a 12-12 record.
