Gulf guard Chris Gregory, who was the third-leading scorer this past season in Pasco County with 18.5 points per game, enrolled at Anclote today and starts classes Friday.

Gregory, a sophomore, was a key contributor on a Gulf basketball team that posted a 10-12 record, the Bucs’ best record in several seasons, and he also caught 10 passes for 132 yards on the football team.

For Anclote, which finished 10-14 under coach Jason Szymanski, the addition of Gregory puts the Sharks in good shape next season. Anclote had just three seniors on this past season’s squad.

“I feel like Anclote is the best place for me,” Gregory said. “It was mainly a family decision and they just want me to be in the best situation moving forward.”
