In a ceremony at the Bever Hicks Center, Gulf’s senior trio of Nicole Adams, Hannah Kotzen and Caitlin Corbitt signed letters of intent to play college basketball Thursday afternoon.

Adams, a St. Petersburg Times All-North Suncoast first-team guard and the Class 4A Dairy Farmers Player of the Year, committed to Kennesaw (Ga.) State after switching from Winthrop a couple weeks ago. The 5-foot-10 guard led the state in scoring with 29.5 points per game and led Gulf to a 24-5 record.

Kotzen and Corbitt committed to Brevard College and Warner University, respectively. Kotzen was a key component in Gulf’s run-and-gun offense, as she averaged 11.2 points and 4.9 assists. Corbitt, who was basically the only forward on the Bucs’ guard-heavy roster, snagged 7.4 rebounds per game and chipped in five points a game.
