Gulf's Joey Nickerson racked up enough points to hit the 1,000-point career mark in Thursday night's 53-47 win over Ridgewood.

The 6-foot forward received an honorable mention on the Times' all-Suncoast 2013 team and was on the all-North Suncoast second team.

The Buccaneers are currently 14-10 and third in a wildly unpredictable 5A-8 district. The district tournament starts Tuesday at Anclote.
