Happy ending for Gibbs' Will Latu

Many miles away, Gibbs Will Latu completed a long and winding journey by signing with the Oklahoma Sooners Wednesday.

Latu, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound Tongan known as much for his long flowing mane as for his physical brand of football, played one season for the Gladiators in 2008, but has since developed into the top-rated junior college offensive tackle in the country.

He started his college career at Division II Northern State University, and left after one redshirt season to play at the College of Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif.

He committed to Oklahoma last week, and having been previously committed to West Virginia and Auburn.

Hey, we said it was a long and winding journey, and you can read about it right here.

And here.

Latu will be joined at Oklahoma by another Gibbs grad, 2012 standout Gary Simon.
