Armwood multi-purpose senior Sherman Jessie, who collected 500 total yards last season, has committed to Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas, Coach Sean Callahan said.

One of a handful of Hawks juco prospects, Jessie (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) ran for 219 yards and had 14 reception for 281 yards in 2009. As a junior, he amassed 652 total yards (341 rush, 311 receiving).

Butler, one of the most prominent junior college programs in the country, finished the 2009 season ranked in the top 10 nationally for the 12th consecutive year. The Grizzlies have won six national titles, including three in the previous decade (2003, '07-08).
