The two-game suspension of Alonso football coach Mike Heldt has ended, but you still won't see him on the sideline for another couple of Fridays.
Alonso is off this week. Heldt, however, returns to practice Tuesday for the first time since being suspended by school administrators Sept. 28 -- three days after defensive coordinator Dale Rude was dismissed at halftime of Alonso's game at Hillsborough for using inappropriate language.
The Ravens were 1-1 in Heldt's absence. "You know, I thought things went pretty well," he said. "I was thinking we could've done a little bit better here and there, but it's good just to get things back to normal."
Defensive line coach Greg Hamlin has replaced Rude as defensive coordinator, Heldt said. Additionally, projected starting receiver Franklin Mosely, who broke his hand in the preseason, has been cleared to return.
