Hernando gets good news on FB Marlin Smith

Hernando coach John Palmer said Thursday starting fullback Marlin Smith will play against Springstead. Smith separated his shoulder during the preseason and missed about two weeks.

Palmer’s fear at the time of the injury was that Smith would miss a handful of games.

Smith finished with 544 yards and five touchdowns last season sharing the backfield with Delaine.
