Hernando senior volleyball players Brittany Hill and Malea Kalina have signed with South Florida Community College according to Leopards head coach Patty Martin.

Hill, an outside/middle hitter, led Hernando with 2.3 kills a game and 56 total blocks. She also had 34 aces on the season.

Kalina, a middle hitter, was second on the Leopards in blocks (49), aces (62) and kills per game (1.9).

Together, the pair led Hernando back to the playoffs for the first time since 2004. The Leopards finished as the district runner-up and beat Mitchell in the region quarterfinals before falling to Nature Coast in the region semis.

Hill and Kalina join former Nature Coast standout Kayla Bailey on the South Florida CC roster. Bailey is a sophomore middle hitter for the Panthers.

South Florida CC is located in Avon Park.
