Hernando running back/safety Alvin Delaine will sign Monday morning with Mars Hill College according to Leopards head coach John Palmer.

Delaine, the St. Petersburg Times' North Suncoast offensive player of the year in 2009 and a first team all-North Suncoast selection in 2010, rushed for over 1,000 yards for the second straight year this season for the 9-2 Leopards. He carried 152 times for 1,072 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on the ground while adding four more scores through the air.

As a safety, Delaine registered 48 tackles and had three interceptions.

Mars Hill College, a Division II school playing in the South Atlantic Conference, is located near Asheville in Mars Hill, N.C.
