Hernando defensive lineman Malcolm Hudson landed an offer from Army at his visit to West Point, Leopards coach John Palmer said Tuesday afternoon. It’s Hudson’s first Division I offer.
Hudson was one of the North Suncoast’s top defensive players and most disruptive linemen. The 5-foot-11, 235-pound Hudson tallied 55 tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles to help Hernando to its first district title since 1997. He also had a diving interception in a last-minute loss to Gainesville in the playoffs.
Hudson was a first-team all-Suncoast selection by the Times and an FACA All-Star.
