Last fall, Osceola TB Jace Browne was overshadowed somewhat by his teammate, 1,000-yard rusher Edwin McKinney. Next fall, however, Browne hopes he will be the one with all the carries.

On only 29 attempts in 2009, he totaled 330 yards, and now the speedy Browne (he says he runs a 4.6 40) is hoping to catch the eyes of colleges at the Orlando Nike combine this weekend. He also plans to attend UCF’s camp this summer.

The 5-foot-9, 168-pounder says, “I believe I can compete with the best of the best of the Class of 2011.“

In addition to his football skills, Browne carries a 3.3 GPA, which certainly should help his cause. Here are some clips of Browne, a two-year starter who also plays DB, in action:
