Mercedyz Mitchell, King: The Lions sophomore setter had 19 aces in a three-game romp of Spoto. Senior teammate Mallory Mitchell added five kills.

Austin Unger, Sickles: The Gryphons senior won the 100-yard butterfly and 100 backstroke and swam on two winning relay teams in Sickles’ 129-34 romp of Tampa Catholic.

Ashley Cozart, Plant: The Panthers senior had 15 kills, 11 digs and two aces in her team’s four-game triumph against Robinson.

Ross Brown, Robinson: The Knights junior won two individual events (50-yard freestyle, 100 fly) and swam on two winning relay teams in Robinson’s 98-70 win against Strawberry Crest.

Jimmy Stanger, Gaither: The University of Virginia commitment shot 3-under 33 to win medalist honors at a four-team match at Cheval. Stanger was 4 under with eagle on his last five holes.

Another flawless Knight
With victories in the 100-yard freestyle and 100 breast Tuesday against Strawberry Crest, Robinson senior John Nolte remained undefeated for his prep career in individual dual-meet events. Robinson’s girls prevailed, 95-72, to make it a Knights sweep.

Ian won the 50-yard freestyle and swam a leg on the 200 medley relay team; Tristan won the 100 free and swam on two other winning relay teams; Christian won the 500 free and also swam on two winning relay squads

312 Final four-player total posted by Tampa Catholic’s boys in Saturday’s 18-hole East Lake Invitational. According to the school’s website, the score is three strokes better than any 18-hole effort posted by a Crusaders team in district or region play. TC topped Cambridge Christian, 162-190 in a nine-hole match Tuesday
