Times’ Super 7
1. Plant (7-1):
Behind pitchers Miranda Clark and Rose Yanger, Panthers have shut out past three foes.
2. East Bay (7-4): Indians are 5-0 in county’s best district behind Kayla Cox, who has yet to surrender an earned run.
3. Newsome (6-3): Dropped two of last three entering tonight’s game (weather permitting) at Plant City.
4. Chamberlain (5-2): “Rebuilding” Chiefs already have topped Sickles and Gaither.
5. Sickles (8-3): All three of Gryphons’ defeats were to quality foes (Plant, Chamberlain, Lake Mary).
6. Tampa Catholic (9-1): Thinking here is, that 9-0 loss to St. Petersburg Catholic was a hiccup.
7. Gaither (8-4): Cowboys really are 8-3; they played all reserves in one of their defeats.
In the conversation: Steinbrenner (7-1), Bloomingdale (6-5), Plant City (6-5)
