Girls
1. Newsome (9-0-2):
County’s only remaining unbeaten has survived a tough early-season slate. Plant’s rematch with Wolves looms Dec. 17.
2. Plant (9-1-1): Brief hiccup this week cured quickly by two-goal win over Bloomingdale, even without leading scorer Conner Zwetsch.
3. Berkeley Prep (6-3-1): Record is a reflection of killer schedule. Bucs are ahead of Tampa Prep because of their win over the Terps.
4. Tampa Prep (7-2-2): Terps have county’s most dynamic scorer in Colby Maffei, who is coming off a four-goal game against IRC.
5. East Bay (6-1-1): Played top-ranked Newsome to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday, a nice confidence booster.
6. Bloomingdale (5-3): Was missing some key parts in 3-1 loss to Plant, but still discouraging that the Bulls have lost twice to Panthers.
7. Steinbrenner (6-0-1): Has plenty of firepower on offense with three players with at least seven goals.

Boys
1. Tampa Prep (5-0):
Our preseason No. 1, and there’s no reason to drop Terps yet.
2. Sickles (7-0-2): Has allowed one goal to county competition so far.
3. Gaither (7-1): Stubbed toe last week at Wharton, but otherwise has been sterling.
4. Jesuit (6-1-2): Reloaded Tigers have won five in a row after stumbling a bit out of the gate.
5. East Bay (5-1): Benefiting from balanced scoring attack.
6. Berkeley Prep (4-2): Two losses were to high-quality foes (St. Andrew’s, Mitchell).
7. Plant City (6-0-1): We expect the Raiders to give East Bay all it wants on Dec. 15.
