Add Hillsborough junior receiver Charles Lovett to the list of Terriers players who are Division I recruits.
Lovett, the Terriers' leading receiver the past two seasons, recently received his first two scholarship offers. USF was the first, offering him two weeks ago, followed by FIU, which tendered Lovett an offer last week, Hillsborough coach Earl Garcia said Thursday.
"He's the best receiver I've ever coached," Garcia said. "He's a great kid and a good student. And he's a legitimate 4.5-second guy."
Lovett joins safety Terrence Mitchell and quarterback Tarean Austin, both seniors, as Hillsborough Division I recruits.
The 6-foot-2 Lovett, a started since his freshman year, leads the Terriers with 17 catches for 441 yards and 4 touchdowns. He is third in the bay area in receiving yards.
