  • 31. Tracy Johnson

    2011 stats:

2,220 yards passing, 24 TDs, five INTs

    The breakdown:

The Lakewood senior (6-3, 170) has a wealth of talented WRs at his disposal, so the Spartan quarterback is primed for a big season. His poise and leadership, though, may be important to Lakewood’s success than his golden right arm.

  • 32. Mitchell Wright

    2011 stats:

73 tackles, 10 sacks, 29 tackles for loss

    The breakdown:

The 6-3, 210-pound senior and USF commitment was a key force in Plant’s defense last season, but this year will play an even bigger role. He’s a big-game guy; he had five sacks in Plant’s state title game.

  • 33. Tyrail Hawkins

    2011 stats:

1,242 yards, 9.78 yards per carry, 19 total TDs; two INTs

    The breakdown:

The Hernando ATH is a do-everything football player. He can play just about any position, but the 5-11, 185-pound senior is deadliest with the ball in his hands.

  • 34. Auggie Sanchez

    2011 stats:

78 tackles, 18.5 sacks, one INT

    The breakdown:

A monster of defense, the Northeast LB (6-2, 215) was an unblockable force last season, and will also be a key contributor on offense.

  • 35. Jeremiah Green

    2011 stats:

49 tackles, one interception; 56 carries, 548 yards, nine TDs

    The breakdown:

Hillsborough senior DB’s small in stature (5-8, 160) but big when it comes to making plays. The national triple jump champ has serious athleticism and big-play potential.

  • 36. Derrick Doss

    2011 stats:

58 tackles, one sack; 220 yards rushing, five TDs

    The breakdown:

Another one of Largo’s interchangeable studs, the 5-9, 190-pound chiseled rock of a player has the speed to be a running back — and the ferocity to chase them down.

  • 37. Michael Stevenson

    2011 stats:

66 tackles, one INT; 53 carries, 416 yards, four TDs

    The breakdown:

The multi-talented Clearwater Central Catholic senior filled in at RB last season, but is a Division I safety prospect with 4.5 speed and a nose for the ball.

  • 38. Matthew Breida

    2011 stats:

    208 carries, 1,613 yards, 20 TDs

    The breakdown:

The Nature Coast RB was on his way to 2,000 yards last season when he simply wore down going both ways. The coaches will try to let the senior focus on running the ball in 2012, bad news for late-season opponents.

  • 39. Eric Moate

    2011 stats:

1,225 yards rushing, 11 yards per carry, 15 total TDs

    The breakdown:

Speed, speed, speed. The Spoto senior RB (5-11, 170) averaged 11 yards a carry — and will carry a heavier load in 2012.

  • 40. Bruce Hector

    2011 stats:

    NA

    The breakdown:

If you’re wondering what makes the USF commitment attractive, it might be the feet, and you can thank basketball. Despite the Robinson senior’s 6-2, 270-pound frame, he can hoop it up: 16 points and 19 rebounds in one game last year.
