  2011 stats:

  69 tackles, seven sacks, four TD catches

  The breakdown:

  The Pinellas Park DE/TE, a three-sport athlete, heads into his senior year with an offer from Ohio. The 6-foot-3, 236-pounder rarely drops anything thrown his way, and he is a key blocker in the Pats’ rush attack.

  2011 stats:

  The breakdown:

  The Strawberry Crest senior wideout will be a big part of the Chargers’ attack this season. At 6-2, 190, he is physical enough to make catches in traffic, and he is a burner who can go the distance each catch or kick return he fields.

• 83. Maurice Hemingway

  2011 stats:

  921 yards rushing, 10 TDs

  The breakdown:

  Hemingway, a 5-10, 180-pound St. Petersburg junior speedster with 18 varsity games under his belt, ran for more than 100 yards four times last year and should be a contender for the Pinellas County rushing title in 2012.

  2011 stats:

  93 tackles, two interceptions

  The breakdown:

  The 5-11, 205-pound Sickles senior can play linebacker or in the defensive backfield, and the big hitter is one of the leaders on a defense expected to be one of the best around.

• 85. Jermaine Gilyard

  2011 stats:

  70 tackles, four INTs, five passes defended

  The breakdown:

  The Chamberlain senior is a 5-11, 175-pound lockdown corner for the Chiefs, but is versatile enough to pitch in on offense at receiver as well.

  2011 stats:

  55 tackles, nine sacks, four forced fumbles

  The breakdown:

  The Sickles DE, a 6-2, 200-pound junior, is burgeoning with untapped potential. He has the strength to line up with a hand in the dirt, but his speed and athleticism make him dangerous as a freelance pass rusher.

  2011 stats:

  54 tackles, 13 sacks led the Tigers

  The breakdown:

  The Jesuit senior DE has excelled as a pass rusher for Jesuit. At 6-3, 180, he is not the biggest end but he uses his speed well. In the seven games Smith had a sack last season, the Tigers were unbeaten.

• 88. Tajee Fullwood

  2011 stats:

  644 yards passing, 690 rushing with 13 TDs

  The breakdown:

  A quarterback last season, Fullwood, only a junior, will use his speed and 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame on defense, too. He has been turning Tampa Bay Tech coaches’ heads with his play as a safety and corner.

  2011 stats:

  554 yards receiving, 68 tackles, three INTS, 13 total TDs

  The breakdown:

  Though only 5-9, 160 pounds, the Carrollwood Day senior WR/DB has a knack for making plays on both sides of the ball for the Patriots. He scored rushing the ball, catching it and returning it on special teams.

  2011 stats:

  903 yards receiving led Hillsborough County; 70 tackles, four INTs

  The breakdown:

  A 5-8, 160-pound small school standout, he is Cambridge’s Mr. Everything. The senior showed out against district’s top two teams: combined 19 catches, 315 yards, three TDs, 15 tackles. That’s clutch. That’s balling.
