Hudson QB Zack Wynn has cold, says he’ll be ready for Tarpon Springs game

Standout Hudson QB Zack Wynn, one of the area’s leading passers, missed practice Wednesday and won’t practice today either because he has a pretty bad cold. But, Wynn said, he’ll be good to go for Friday’s district showdown against Tarpon Springs.

“I’ll definitely play,” Wynn said.

Wynn attended school Wednesday, but Cobras coach Mark Nash sent the senior home without letting him practice because of his illness.

“I couldn’t stand it,” Wynn said. “It was eating me alive that I was letting my team down that day.”

Today, Wynn’s at home resting.

“I’ve been watching Sportscenter and Scooby Doo,” he said.

Nash didn’t seem concerned about Wynn missing time, and it’s easy to see why. Wynn is a four-year starter.

“It really won’t affect us,” Nash said. “We don’t change a lot (each week). We had our offense down in August. We just worked on other things.”
