A fraudulent scorecard is at the center of a disagreement that kept Plant City’s girls out of the Class 3A state golf tournament, according to the Plant City Times & Observer.

Raiders golfer Kaylee McIntosh was disqualified from this week’s Class 3A, Region 5 tournament after signing an incorrect scorecard – which was reviewed by a tournament official. The ensuing penalty booted Plant City from the No. 2 spot and a trip to state, according to the Plant City paper

“We feel like there was a little bit of a set-up here,” coach Meg Jordan told the Plant City Times & Observer, a sister publication to the Times.
