Nick Alonso, who holds 10 swimming records at Indian Rocks Christian, has signed with the College of Charleston, according to Golden Eagles athletic director Phil Farver.

Alonso holds or is part of 10 school records: the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles, the 100 backstroke, the 100 breaststroke, the 100 butterfly and the 200 IM. He has also anchored the record-setting relays in the 200 and 400 free and 200 medley.

Alonso won district titles in the 200 IM and 10 breast stroke, and was named as an honorable mention pick on the Times All-County swim team.
