Sean Culkin, a highly regarded tight end prospect from Indian Rocks Christian, has added another school to the list of those interested in his services. Central Florida extended an offer to Culkin after a visit to IRC's practice Tuesday.
Culkin now holds Division I-A offers from FIU, Iowa State, Western Michigan and UCF. He is also receiving interesting from a number of BCS schools.
IRC coach Mark Buchanan said another bay area prospect's college choice will likely impact where Culkin ultimately ends up.
"He's waiting on a couple things," Buchanan said. "He's waiting for (Land O'Lakes tight end) Kent Taylor to make a decision because a lot of the places where Taylor is No. 1 on their board, they have Sean at No. 2."
As a senior wide receiver for the Golden Eagles, Culkin has 15 catches for 286 yards and seven touchdowns through four games. He has also carried the ball six times, gaining 77 yards, and he has made 13 tackles.
IRC is 4-0 and is tied at the top of the 2A-5 district standings with Canterbury.
