Jefferson junior wideout Andre Davis, who suffered a left leg injury in Friday's game against Lakewood, is expected play this week, Dragons coach Mike Fenton said.

Davis, the county's leader with 13 receiving touchdowns, was injured in the first half of Jefferson's Class 3A region semifinal game. It was believed at first it was a ankle injury, but he instead tweaked hit knee.

Davis only caught one pass Friday of 51 yards and was in obvious pain off the line, but in Monday's practice he looked much better, running long routes with relative ease.

Davis is one of the bay area's most highly recruited juniors. He already has offers from Miami, Florida State, USF and FIU. Fenton said a coach from Michigan was at Friday's game to watch Davis and Dragons quarterback Quentin Williams.
