Should his interview with a local judicial nominating commission go really well this afternoon, Jesuit soccer coach Bob Bauman could become Judge Bob Bauman.

Bauman, 50, is among 21 candidates being interviewed today for appointment to the vacant spot of Circuit Court Judge in and for Hillsborough County. Bauman is a longtime attorney, specializing in areas such as contractual and commercial civil litigation for Morris Law Firm.

At Jesuit, he has won more than 500 games and five state titles in 22-plus seasons. A former player at USF, he received his undergraduate degree there and attended law school at Dayton.
