The baseball commitments keep rolling in for Hillsborough County this week.
The latest is Jesuit infielder Vincent Miniet, who has committed to USF, head coach Richie Warren said Thursday night. The rising senior was the leadoff hitter and second baseman for the Tigers, hitting .429 with 27 runs scored. The Times' all-county and all-Suncoast first-teamer also had a .613 on-base percentage.
Miniet also had Jesuit's only extra-base hit in the Class 5A state semifinal loss to Plantation American Heritage. He is the fifth Jesuit player from the class of 2013 to commit, joining John Kilichowski (Vanderbilt), Spencer Trayner (North Carolina), Adrian Chacon (North Carolina) and fellow Bulls commit Daniel Portales.
